A soft woman lets her husband dream. Even when the dreams have seventeen exclamation points.
Tanner finished his husband vision board yesterday. He worked on it for six hours in the garage while I made Christmas dinner. When he emerged, he was vibrating with what he called “manifestation energy.” The board was beautiful. Ambitious. Covered in images of things we don’t have.
“CEO,” it said, in letters cut from a Forbes magazine. “LEGACY.” “EMPIRE.” “2026 IS MY YEAR.”
A Wife Supports Her Husband Vision Board
Our grandmothers understood something we’ve forgotten: a man needs to dream. Furthermore, a woman’s role is to hold space for those dreams, even when the electric bill is due and the space we’re holding is a rented two-bedroom on two acres we don’t own.
I smiled. I told Tanner it was powerful. I meant it. As I’ve written before, submission isn’t about agreement. It’s about support. And I support Tanner’s vision, even when that vision includes a yacht and our current boat is a kayak with a slow leak.
The Board Has Specific Goals
Additionally, Tanner explained each element. The “PASSIVE INCOME” section features images of beaches and laptops. The “LEADERSHIP” section has a picture of a man in a suit pointing at a whiteboard. Consequently, there’s a corner dedicated to “MINDSET” which is just the word “MINDSET” written seven times in different fonts.
He asked if I wanted to add anything. I said I’d prefer to support his vision rather than dilute it with my own. He liked that answer.
Faith And Vision
Here’s what the feminist critics won’t understand about the husband vision board: it represents faith. Not faith that Tanner will become CEO next year—we both know that’s unlikely, given that he’s between opportunities—but faith in the man he’s becoming. Faith in our family. Faith that if I keep the sourdough rising and the children peaceful, he’ll find his path.
The board is now hanging in our bedroom. I see it when I wake up. When I check my Newswax notifications at 5 AM. When I answer emails about affiliate partnerships.
Tanner sees it too. Usually around 10 AM when he wakes up.
2026 will be his year. Or 2027. The timeline isn’t the point. The faith is.
