I’ve crunched the numbers. The potential is there. The infrastructure is in place. 2026 is my year.
As a former Democrat who saw the light in 2021, I’ve dedicated the last three years to helping others experience what I experienced. The awakening others new year goal I’m setting for 2026 is ambitious but achievable: double my conversion rate. That means going from almost three people to almost six.
Let me explain how I’m counting.
My 2025 Awakening Successes
First, there was my coworker Marcus. We had a breakthrough conversation in February where he admitted he “hadn’t thought about it that way.” He transferred to the Seattle office two weeks later, which I assume was unrelated. I’m counting him as half.
Then there was the woman I dated briefly in April. She asked a lot of questions about my political journey, which I took as genuine curiosity. On our fourth date, she said she needed to “take a break from dating to focus on herself.” I’ve seen this pattern before—when someone’s worldview begins to shift, they often need time to process. I’m counting her as three-quarters.
My cousin Tyler nodded several times during Thanksgiving dinner while I explained the red pill concept. He was also on his phone, but nodding is nodding. That’s another half.
Finally, a stranger at a bar let me talk for approximately forty-five minutes before saying he had to “find his friends.” The seed is planted. That’s one-quarter.
Total: almost three.
Where I Lost Ground
I’ll be honest—not every conversation went well. My former roommate Kevin asked me to stop texting him links. My sister muted our family group chat after I shared a thread explaining what the Left really believes. And a woman on a dating app unmatched me mid-sentence, which is technically impressive since I was still typing.
But here’s what the Left doesn’t understand about awakening others: it takes time. I didn’t wake up overnight. It took three specific incidents across two years before I finally saw clearly. Most people need multiple exposures before the truth penetrates their conditioning.
My 2026 Strategy
This year, I’m being more strategic. I’ve created a spreadsheet tracking everyone I’ve had political conversations with, their responsiveness level, and optimal follow-up timing. I call it the Ashworth Awakening Index.
My therapist says I should “consider whether people are interested before engaging.” She has a degree from a liberal institution, so I’ve noted her feedback but remain focused on my mission.
I’ve also identified high-potential targets: people who seem dissatisfied with the mainstream narrative but haven’t yet found the right person to guide them. My neighbor mentioned rising grocery prices last week. I spent forty minutes explaining the root causes. She now waves from inside her car instead of stopping to chat. She’s processing. I can tell.
The Mission Continues
People ask me why I keep trying when the success rate seems low. They don’t understand. I was them once—content in my ignorance, thinking I had it figured out because I voted Democrat twice in my twenties. Someone had to show me the path. Several YouTube videos and a bad date had to align perfectly.
Awakening others new year after new year is thankless work. My friend group from 2020 has largely stopped responding to my messages. My own mother told me she “misses who I used to be.” But that’s exactly what awakened people say about the unawakened, just in reverse. We’re all on a journey.
I’ve been doing this for almost four years now. That’s nearly half a decade of experience. The left fears people like me—former insiders who understand exactly how they think. And in 2026, I’m going to wake up almost six more.
Maybe seven. The potential is there. I can feel it.
