Clive Ashford-Pemberton, European Affairs Correspondent

Clive Ashford-Pemberton is Newswax's European Affairs Correspondent, reporting from Brussels where he has lived since 2016---a decision he made entirely of his own volition and not at all in anticipation of anything. A former junior policy analyst at a London-based think tank that no longer exists, Clive brings a passionate commitment to the European project that colleagues describe as "very thorough" and "quite a lot." He holds a master's degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics and has been published in several outlets, including a letter to the Financial Times that was edited for length. Clive believes that Europe's best days are ahead, that Brexit was a "temporary aberration," and that his flat in Schaerbeek makes him more European than most Europeans. He is fluent in French (B1 level) and conversational in German (he took a course).
